Artistic mission
The Concertgebouw is an
international music and performing arts centre whose programme
takes authenticity into account, at whose heart lies the vocal and
instrumental tradition, and which acts as a laboratory for
creation. The basic principle underlying the programming is
creativity. There is room for music of all styles and eras, and
also for other disciplines: contemporary dance, art, literature
and architecture.
Services
In addition to its own artistic
programme, the Concertgebouw makes its accommodation available to
others for
events of all types. This includes the Concert Hall (1289 seats),
the Chamber Music Hall (maximum 320 seats), and
the various reception rooms with their panoramic view of the
historical city centre. In fact the whole building can be used for
congresses, colloquia, product launches, receptions, stage
presentations and much more. The Concertgebouw offers you support
in the organisation of your event.
The Concertgebouw is a
venue at which seminars, receptions, meetings, colloquia, product
presentations, conferences and business events can be held all the
year round. The various areas of the building (the Concert Hall,
the Chamber Music Hall, Forums 6 and 7, the Studios and the
Foyers) are all available.
